Liqueurs

Liqueur is a sweet alcoholic beverage, often mixed with fruits, herbs, spices, flowers, seeds, roots, bark or creams. The term comes from the Latin liquifacere, liquefy, dissolve. This refers to mixtures used in the manufacture of the beverage. Liqueurs are not usually aged for long but may spend some time resting until they reach optimal flavor. The most common description of liqueur is a sweet drink, high alcohol content. Served in small bowls, perfect after meals is also very common in chocolates.
